She can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, subject to a satisfactory home visit, but note that you will be required to travel to the foster home to meet her. Please put in an application in the first instance if you are interested. Approved applications will be home checked. Details of our adoption procedures and adoption application form are here

5/6/11 Holly was brilliant last night I was all set for a disturbed night so brought the dog bed into the corner of the bedroom, told Holly to go to bed and she did, and slept there quietly all night. Both dogs went outside around 5am this morning and then again back to bed till I woke up at 8am. Brilliant first night. Both she and Mac are now having a full on play session .

11/6/11.
Holly has shown herself to be very good off lead, she goes a lot further in front than I'm happy with, but immediately comes back to a whistle or her name. She's pretty vocal when someone comes to the front door but as soon as you open it she's ready for a stroking session from the visitor. Holly's shown herself to be a bit scared of some things, unexpected noises, people coming into the house carrying things or me using a broom outside in the garden. We've been working on these gradually and though she's still a bit unsure about people coming towards her with 'things' in their hands she no longer shies at the broom. She is vocal at things that scare her but as she's gaining confidence and trust in me she's vocalizing less. Today my neighbours had some friends around for a barbecue which involved a number of children shrieking in the garden - whereas a couple of days ago she was barking everytime someone moved in the garden next door today she totally ignored all the noise - she only barked once when each of the cars arrived ... so massive improvements there
She has shown herself to be very good with other dogs we meet when out happy to play with them or just walk and ignore. She still pulls a bit when she sees another dog but that also has been improving .. she is happy to obey most instructions if there's a chance of some food.
A typical Lab

Update: Mac's definitely Holly's 'best friend' if he does something so does she . A little girl and her dad - they live up the street - were passing and she wanted to say 'hello' to Mac .. she loves him, wanting to give him a cuddle and a kiss anyway he sat down .. so did Holly, he laid down .. so did Holly .. Mac rolled onto his back and waved his legs in the air .. Holly passed on that one .. think she thought it too undignified

Holly had a number of visitors yesterday at the Paws 4 Tea and thoroughly enjoyed herself pinching Mac's partially eaten chew off him all the time For some reason that tasted better to her than her own untouched one. Holly at the show yesterday
Out in the garden enjoying the sun this morning

Update 30.6.11 Dad kept an eye on Mac and Holly this afternoon for a short while down on the Mound Field while I went to get some bits and bobs from the Pugh's farm shop. Dad said both she and Mac hared off to have a quick paddle in the stream first, then, while Mac did his grass chewing, Holly went off to watch the youngsters on the skate park .. he thought she seemed fascinated by them Anyway dad wandered off to go and sit at a bench and he was impressed that Holly immediately went with him without he saying anything. Holly then had a wander around but always staying within a couple of feet of dad. When I arrived back Holly made a bee line for me, Mac didn't change out of his usual trot lol
She's turning into a lovely dog, alert to where you are and never going too far from you, comes when called first time .. a lot better than Mac. Loves children and is so steady she's a dream to foster.
