Mia
Breed : Sheltie x Whippet ? maybe ?
Age: Approx 2yrs
Sex: Bitch
Dog Friendly: Yes.
Cat Friendly: Yes
She came to us from the pound as an unclaimed stray, It looks as if she has been on the streets for a while as she is skin & bone. This poor little girl is seriously undernourished but has a wonderful friendly personality. She will have to undergo a full assessment and will need a few weeks of TLC and good food.
She can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, subject to a satisfactory home visit, but note that you will be required to travel to the foster home to meet her.

A word from her foster mum - She's very calm and quiet (this may change once she's found her feet) and like our shadow wherever we are she is by the side of us (at the moment while I'm on the computer she's sitting on my feet). the poor little girl there is nothing to her she's just skin and bones but I'm sure once she starts having regular meals she will soon gain a few pounds, she was very good last night never heard a peep out of her she slept in a crate and is fine in it we also feed her in the crate, she is quite nervous at the moment but her tail never stops wagging!
She is not house trained yet and will not go out the garden on her own we have to go out with her but that will come in time, at the moment she's not too keen on my dachshund but I think this is because he's still a pup (4 months old) and very bouncy and she just wants a quiet life, she has been fine with the cats but will try to chase them if they run not that she has done anything to them once she gets to them. We give her a bath last night and she was as good as gold in the bath and having the hairdryer put over her! All in all it's going fine with her she just needs a lot of TLC to know she can trust people.

This gives you a better idea of size
Her fosterer's update said - Just a quick update , as you can see Mia has settled in brill but she's so quiet you'd never know she was there . It does take some encouragement to get her to play but she seems to enjoy it when she gets going . She seems to have good days and quiet days , but i guess it's just her nature to take things easy and let everyone else get on with their own business . Just like me she loves her sleep !!!!!
Some tests have come back from the vets and Mia has Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (Epi) which she will have for life and need supplemental pancreatic enzymes (a powder) at every meal.
