DAN

Dan is a 5 year old greyhound fella. He is a big, black boy with white flecks in his coat and is in beautiful condition.

Sadly Dan was adopted from us 2 years ago but is now being returned as he has not gotten on with their young child. We would like to place him in a home without young children or cats, though he is fine with other dogs and could live with one, or several.

Dan is a very easy boy. In typical greyhound fashion, he likes to sleep for most of the day and usually only stirs when its time for food or walks. And Dan LOVES his walks! The minute he sees his lead he becomes a big bouncy boy, all waggy tails and happy smiles, though once you've started out on the walk he quickly settles down and is impeccably behaved while out and about. He can be a bit wary of loud traffic such as lorries or buses, but isn't a nervous dog in general.

Dan has been living in a home environment for the past 2 years and so is well adjusted to the home life. He is very well housetrained, loves travelling in the car and adores his people, especially when they give him ear rubs. He's a leaner, and likes to be touching you if at all possible. Dan has a habit of taking items such as slippers into his bed, though he doesnt chew them and is not destructive.

Dan is currently in foster care in Norfolk, UK where he waits for his new home. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure. This boy has very few flaws and would be a perfect 'beginner greyhound' for someone who hasn't owned a greyhound before. Alternatively we feel he would do just as perfectly as an easy going, no-hassle companion for someone's dog.

~~ KERRY GREYHOUND CONNECTION ~~

Kerry Greyhound Connection is a small voluntary organisation based in County Kerry, Ireland and Norfolk, England and operates through a network of volunteers. We can look after approximately 50 greyhounds at any one time, in both Ireland and the UK.

Each dog is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and given a full veterinary check before being adopted.
We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA. We work hard to match the right hound to the right home, and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

We can be contacted via PM or through any of the following:
