Age: 12yrs
Temperament: Likes cuddles and a fuss
Dogs: Friendly - he has never lived with another dog but may be able to live with a calm female.
Cats: No
Children: Currently lives with children 7yrs and 4yrs
Charlie is fine with them but isn't happy with a lot of noise
so slightly older children would be better 10yrs plus.


Hello I am Charlie

I am a very friendly boy
and I have to make it clear from the start
that I do like a good tummy rub and a cuddle,
so obviously that is high on my priority
for my new family to be keen on doing for me!

I am a good boy in the house I don't make a mess,
I can be left for a few hours,
I travel well in a car and walk well on my lead.
I will even sit at kerbs, halt and sit when called
and return to your side when you call me
- I am clever!

I am looking for a new home because
with two young children in the house
it is sometimes very noisy and I get upset and unhappy
with it all and would rather be in a quieter home

I do have a bit of a sensitive tum -
I am told it is called Colitis and I have to take
two tablets a week of low dose steroids to keep it in check.

I love my squeaky toys and love a good Nylabone to chew on, but I don't mind if you need to take it off me
- maybe you are wanting to play too?

Charlie is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped .
He is currently in the Southampton area but can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit.
However any adopter should be willing to travel and meet Charlie where he is now.

Under the Matchmaker Scheme we only ask for a donation of your choice should you wish to adopt Charlie, this is to assist us in continuing our work with other Senior Staffys who come to us as strays and have no one to care for them whilst they find a new home.

Charlie has been for his yearly MOT and passed Smile such a good boy in vets

Silly me i forgot to update Charlie has now found a fantastic home and is living very happily with a female staffy called Bess, great news as he was not socialised with dogs and has just slotted right in perfectly, so happy for him
