Belle - Stunning 9 month old Lurcher - fostered in Staffs
Meet the gorgeous Belle, a 9 month old Lurcher girl looking for an active forever home,
Belle is a happy young girl that could like with another dog, although it would have to be a dog that would cope with her bouncy play, so probably not an old or intolerant dog.
As she is so lively we would recommend that if she lived with children that they were over 5 years old. There is no malice in anything she does, she is just young and exuberant and could send a little child flying when she has her hyper moments!
Belle has shown a lot of interest in cats so best to not live with any cats or small furies.
Belle does pull on her lead initially but settles after 10-15 minutes. She is still young so this just needs more time spent with her. Also she lacks a few manners and will need some consistent training in relation to this. She does take toys off the other dogs in her foster home, and will guard but responds well to clear guidance on this.
Belle needs an active home with someone prepared to continue to train her. She would be happy to live with another playful dog. She loves people but as she is so boisterous a younger or lurcher experienced home may be better for her.
Belle is on foster in Stone, Staffordshire but we home across the UK. She has been spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped.

FOSTERER UPDATE 17/09/12:
"Beautiful Belle has been camping with us this weekend and had a brilliant time. She walked for miles over The Roaches, had a sausage for tea and slept all night wrapped in her snuggie.
She loves a fuss and having cuddles and will let anyone give her attention. She has a beautiful happy face when she is being stroked!
She loves to play and run - and is getting on well with the collies. She is making progress learning some manners and calming down a bit. She is very food orientated which helps her training (but also means that dinner should not be left on the side unattended )."

Things Belle has learnt this week;
1. Sit (almost..... 15 week old puppy got it in a day - and Belle took a week! But who's judging )
2. Coming back when off the lead involves biscuits ;D ;D
3. If you fall off the bed - have a stretch and pretend you meant to do it!
4. Running into large immovable objects gives you a headache :
5. Her face is just the right shape to fit down a rabbit hole :o
6. Playing does not mean biting and jumping on your friends - they like it better if you are nice to them
7. Lying on the bed is very comfy - but does not make you invisible so you might still end up having to go out for a wee!!
Each one an important life lesson 8-)
On a serious note - Belle has really settled now and is learning fast. Her recall is excellent and she is calmer around the other dogs at home. She really is very lovely and doing so well - she will make a fabulous addition for someone!
