Ziggy 9 y.o. staffy boy looking for a home or foster

Ziggy is a 9 year old Staffordshire Bullterrier boy who is being rehomed by Senior Staffy Club because his elderly owner was unable to care for him any longer.

Ziggy is fine to be left for up to 4 hours, and will happily just lie in his favourite chair, but he would prefer to live with someone who isn’t away all day.

Ziggy although interested in them, is fine with other dogs he meets out on his walks, but as he has never lived with another dog he would be happier as an only dog in the home.
He does not like cats and will chase them so cannot be rehomed where there is a cat in the home.

Ziggy likes his walks and is good on the lead but he only requires moderate short walks as he does suffer with some Spondylitis in his lower back – and so cannot take very long walks.
He also has allergies to pollen, more so in the summer month, so is best avoiding long grass when outalking

Ziggy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated.
He does suffer from Spondylitis in the lower spine which can affect his walking and which will need to be monitored.
He does require Metacam (painkiller in liquid form which is put on meals) on an ongoing basis for this.
He also has pollen related allergies which will also need to be monitored through the year and for which he may need Steroid treatment to control – which involves a tablet or a spray.
Senior Staffy Club can pay for the Metacam and Steroid treatments if required.
