Willow ~ Handsome Mannerly Gent – 4yo Brindle Greyhound

WILLOW

Willow is a 4 year old greyhound boy who has never raced. He has been kept as an outdoor pet until coming to us with his two other siblings to find him a home where he can be part of the family. Willow is a very handsome brindle boy with a light brindle coat. He is in beautiful condition and has been well looked after.



Willow has been treated well by his former owners and is a very lovely boy. He has a gorgeous personality and that together with his good looks will definitely turn the ladies heads. He is an easy going boy who loves getting attention but is nice and mannerly about asking for more. He would be well suited to a family with children as he is a placid, gentle boy.

Dear Willow is very good with other dogs, and always chooses to ignore the resident Jack Russell who tries unsuccessfully to wind him up! He gets on well with everyone and everything and doesn’t like to cause any drama. He travels well, is calm around traffic and loves going for his daily walks.


Willow has not yet been in a home environment, so new owners will need to give him a bit of time at the start and allow him to adjust to the changes. It generally takes greyhounds 10-14 days to start to settle in a home, and really all they need is time and patience.

Like most greyhounds, Willow is a total couch potato and does not need a huge amount of exercise. He will be content with two 30min walks a day and perhaps a chance to stretch his legs offlead in a safe area once or twice a week.

Willow is currently being kennelled in Co. Wexford, Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. Please note that adopters will need to travel to our nearest collection point to pick him up. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

Kerry Greyhound Connection is a small voluntary organisation based in County Kerry, Ireland and Norfolk, England. It operates through a network of volunteers spaced over Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. We can look after approximately 70 greyhounds at any one time, in Ireland and the UK.

Each dog is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and given a full veterinary check before being adopted.
We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in Ireland, the UK, Central Europe and the USA.
