George is a older male bearded dragon (probably 5 yrs plus) who was handed into rescue on deaths door, freezing cold, amaciated and dehydrated! It has taken a couple of months to get George to where he is now where he has gained some weight, eating properly and shedding. There is signs of possible MBD showing in back left leg but isnt effecting him at the moment. george isnt very good at hunting his own food so needs assisted feeding (little help) by holding the food with tweezers in front of him and slowly moving it side to side to entice him and thinking he has caught it himself. he is very picky on foods also and his diet consists of 5th hopper, wax or morio worms and sald (either kale, tomatoe, apple, mango, green beans or qaush) He sometimes will only eat this also if offered on tweezers.. We do think he might be partilaly blind/poor eyesite. he needs weekly baths as he likes to dunk his under and drink that way and helps him with his shedding currently.
George is very tame and has been handled by children also.
if you can offer george a home and have time for him to assist his feeding please contact us via here or email racr@btinternet.com or phone 05602383376 or 07853076956

Poor George
Why do people get reptiles when they don't know how to look after them.

Re: Male Bearded Dragon
Sorry, my friend said she knows nothing of these and won't take one on unless he has a lot of knowledge. She will be very interested in anything without legs unless it is like a boa or similar. I have lot count of how many snakes she has now.

Re: Male Bearded Dragon
My old college has a number of reptiles which are taken care of by an animal tech and by students studying animal related courses. I will see if they would be able to take him on.
