Fabulous Flynn - 2 Year Old Border Collie
Flynn is a wonderful 2 year old Border Collie boy. He is very friendly and very playful!
Flynn was a hand in as his previous owner could not cope with or meet the needs of such an active breed. But despite this he does have some training... he is housetrained, knows sit and has some basic manners.
He travels very well in the car; he enjoys sitting quietly and watching the traffic - both at home and in the car - but he does not bark or lunge at it, he just enjoys watching!
He does not yet know how to walk to heel and his recall also needs further work but he certainly knows how to have a good time on a walk. He is confident and friendly on walks, enjoying meeting new dogs and people. He loves to run, play and have a good sniff!
He is also great with other dogs in the home and behaves wonderfully with children too although he hasn't yet been cat tested.
All in all, a brilliant lad who will make a great addition to any active household!
He is castrated, vaccinated and will be micro chipped. He is currently on foster in Derby where he is doing well living with many other dogs and enjoying the attention, love and play.
If you're interested in adopting Flynn, please read our adoption guidelines and procedure;

Re: Fabulous Flynn - 2 Year Old Border Collie
Hi, we are fostering Flyn while he waits for his forever home. Here is a quick update.
Well, Flyn went to training on Tuesday and behaved himself VERY well. He can already do "sit" but moved on to "down" really well and was learning stay and come by the end of the sesion...not there yet but it won't take long. He managed being in the hall with other dogs and was relaxed and happy during the class.
On the home front he now sleeps "free" in the living room overnight, no chewing or barking. When he hears you get up he does a "woohoo" type noise to remind you that he is there and would like his breakfast please. Whilst breakfast is being prepared (after a quick trip into the garden) he sits and waits where his bowl is going to be put. He also gets the end slice of my piece of banana for brealfast which he licks gently off my hand. And of course he really is fully housetrained...no accidents at all.
He has moved so much on the "playing" front. Yowly growly with Dusty and Coady is a favourite but he loves to play with a soft toy, either tuggy or by himself. I have to report that destuffing teddies is a favourite activity too! He is not ball obsesed the way many collies are but he is starting to show an interest. For someone who is interested in Collies but worried about having one that is too "worky or stressy" he would be the ideal dog as he is definitiely a collie but very relaxed and good to have around. In the evening he will either sit next to you or find himself a nice spot on the floor and settle down there.
