I am fostering Scooby.... Sue is desperate for fosterers, she is inundated with dogs and has a long list of dogs waiting to come in.
Scoo is lovely, very well mannered and he and Kira are getting on really well.

Re: Scooby - Lab x Collie
Just had Scooby for 24 hours and I can't praise him enough, he is a delight to have around and such a character. He had a bath this morning and never moved a muscle, unlike Kira who loves water but yells blue murder whilst having a bath.
He would make an ideal dog for an older person as he is so good on the lead, he has excellent manners out walking, he just ignores other dogs. He really is a lovely dog would make an excellent companion for someone who perhaps even lives alone.

Re: Scooby - Lab x Collie
He deserves a home after being in kennels so long, his owners paid 6 months up front for long term boarding and that was the last contact ever made, so Scoob has been in kennels for about 11 months now, the poor lad.....
Re: Scooby - Lab x Collie
I have some more great pics that I have taken over the last couple of days of him, just need to upload them...

What a lovely lad
He looks a dog that would fit into any home.
Good luck Scooby

Re: Scooby - Lab x Collie
what a darling. Does anyone know which pet insurance company offers initial cover to oldest aged dogs please?
I think the older dogs in kennels long-term is one of the saddest things possible, why do these poor dogs just become invisible?

Re: Scooby - Lab x Collie
Scooby has the offer of a new home, just waiting on result of homecheck being done on Monday.
I shall really miss him, he has been the most perfect dog to have and it's been an honour to have fostered him for the last 4½ weeks.
Chuffed to bits he has been offered this home but really to see him go.

Will just be down to one when Scoob goes and when my daughter picks up Ollie on Monday after going to V Fest... will be an empty house until next foster.

Re: Scooby - Lab x Collie
Kira is due in season anytime now [hopefully] - so will have to get that over and done with first, she was 5 weeks late last time and she gets cranky when on heat.
She will propbably have it when we go on holiday in the caravan to Cornwall.... but after that, a new doggie will be welcome

Re: Scooby - Lab x Collie
He goes on Saturday morning
His new owner is coming up from Canterbury to stay with her parents for the Bank Holiday and they literally live just round the corner from me in the village, so I am not going out this weekend in case I bump into him....
