Reason for rehoming: SIGNED INTO RESCUE AFTER OWNER WAS MOVING, COULDNT TAKE HER AND WAS GOING TO HAVE HER PTS
Temperament: FRIENDLY GIRL WHO IS VERY EFFECTIONATE, WAS TOLD NOT GOOD WITH KIDS, HOWEVER WE HAVE KIDDIE TESTED AND SHE HAS BEEN FINE. WE WOULD SAY DUE TO HER AGE NO CHILDREN UNDER 9.
Medical problems: NO
Neutering: Animal will be neutered/castrated prior to being rehomed unless for medical reasons. Can this be guaranteed?
Will the group be split: N/A
Transport available: CAN BE ARRANGED
Other: ROXIE IS THE MOST GORGOUS GIRL EVER, SHE IS A BOUNCY GIRLS FOR AGE, GREAT WITH OTHER DOGS AND CATS. I THINK SHE WOULD BENIFIT FROM A MULTI DOG HOME AS SHE ADORES OTHER DOGS. SHE WAS SAID TO PULL ON THE LEAD, HOWEVER I TRIED HER AND SHE WAS FINE, VERY SLIGHT PULL BUT WITH CORRECTION SHE WALKED BEAUTIFULY TO HEEL! SHE LOVES HUMAN CONTACT AND CRAVES IT.
ROXIES OLD OWNER WAS GOING TO HAVE HER PTS AS SHE WS MOVING. SHE ALSO TOLD US SHE DIDNT GET ON HER WITH HER 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER, WE THINK THIS COULD BE THAT THE 2 YEAR OLD WASNT NICE TO HER AND PERHAPS WASNT TOLD (THATS IF THATS TRUE) WE HAVE TESTED HER WITH A 3 YEAR OLD, SMALL 9 YEAR OLD AND A 11 YEAR AND SHE WAS FINE, TAIL WAGGING AND KISSES GIVEN. DUE TO THIS HER OWNER KEPT HER SHUT IN A SMALL KITCHEN AND SHE SLEPT IN A CUPBOARD FOR A BED, HARDLY TAKEN OUT AS SHE SAID HER BACK LEGS WERE STIFF AND SHE COULDNT CLIMB THE STAIRS, HOWEVER WE SEE NO SIGNS OF HIP PROBLEMS AND VET HAS CHECKED. IT WAS PROBABLY DUE TO BEING CRAMPED IN A SMALL SPACE. WE ALSO THINK POSSIBLY WATER WAS RESTRICTED AS THEY LIVED IN SECOND FLOOR FLAT AND TOILETING WAS HASSLE. WHEN 1ST ARRIVING INTO RESCUE SHE DRANK AND DRANK AND THEN POOR GIRL PIDDLED ALL OVER FROM EXCESSIVE DRINKING. HOWEVER SHE HAS LEARNT WATER IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE AND CALMED DOWN NOW AND IS HOUSE TRAINED. SHE IS ALSO VERY PLAYFUL AND OBEDIANT TO COMMANDS SIT, WAIT, HEEL.
I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS GIRL, AND IF MY TARA WOULD ACCEPT ANOTHER BITCH I WOULD SO OF KEPT HER MYSELF!
WITH HER TRANSPORTER TO NOTTINGHAM AND POPPING IN TO SEE ME.

Bmp, this girl is still looking. This is one amazing dog and will make a perfect companion. Here is what roxys foster mum says
Hello,
I am Roxies foster mum so I thought I would take a minute to update everyone following her journey.
Roxie has blossomed into an amazing dog. She is very eager to please so proving a star with her training. She picks up new things very quickly and we have started to train her basic everyday commands that we beleive are usefull. She has learned 'sit', 'lie down', 'settle down' and 'in your bed' We are also working on a 100% 'give' (for when she plays fetch') and also 'out the kitchen' (usefull when you have a small kitchen and lots of hot pans!)
Roxie amazes everyone with her age. Its just so hard to beleive she is 9. I take her for a 45 min jog in the morning which she really enjoys and then about 1hour in the afternoon with my other dog where we play fetch and meet the neighbourhood dogs. She is very well socialised with other dogs and has a 100% recall. She works well with a canny collar / halti and is learning to walk just as well without.
She is not a 'barker' but will bark at the doorbell which we are teaching her to tone down with the command 'leave it' and again, she is picking this up well.
Roxie is everyones friend. She holds no grudges and takes everyday as it comes. She is a little ray of sunshine. She loves a fuss, she loves getting things right and she is just a perfect dog. We also have not had any problems with Roxie and children and she has enjoyed supervised fuss from a 5yr old and an 8yr old.
We are really enjoying having her.

Re: 9 year old GSD Cross, Nottingham
This girl is still looking for her forever home! She has been in rescue so long now and yet she is a lovely girl who can offer so much love and loyality.
Re: 9 year old GSD Cross, Nottingham
Slight change, Roxie is best not to be homed with other dogs now, nor cats.
ROXIE HAS BEEN IN HER FOSTER HOME SINCE BEGINING OF FEBRAURY AND HAS BEEN REALLY SETTLED WELL. wE TOOK HER TO VISIT SOMEONE INTERESTED IN HER AND TO SEE HOW THE DOGS GOT ALONG AND SINCE THEN WE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH ROXIE AND OTHER DOGS. SHE INSTANTLY TOOK DOMINANT ROLE AND THE OTHER DOG SUBMISSIVE, AND ROXIE HAS LITERALY TOOK THIS TOO FAR NOW.. AS THE THE DOGS DIDNT GET ON, ROXIE DOMINATING TOO MUCH AND GOING FOR OTHER DOG, SHE WENT BACK TO HER FOSTER HOME. BUT SINCE BEING BACK SHE HAS NOW STARTED ATTACKING THE FOSTER FAMILYS DOG WHICH SHE HAS NEVER DONE BEFORE AND BARKING WHEN KERRY GOES OUT. I HAVE NOTICED ROXIE HAS BECOME VERY CLOSE TO KERRY ALSO. ROXIE IS TO BE ROUND CHILDREN THAT ARE OLDER AND NO CATS. GENERALY SHE HAS GOTTON ON REAL WELL WITH OTHER DOGS BUT NOW ISNT .
