Lovely Lurcher Lad needs new home Empty Lovely Lurcher Lad needs new home

Post by Carmel Mon Jan 04, 2010 7:27 pm

Hi, I'm Simba and I'm a lurcher. I was a family pet until my owner's circumstances changed, and Greyhound Rescue West of England (www.GRWE.com) agreed to look after me until I can find a new home. I have been in a lovely foster home for a few weeks and am living happily with two greyhounds. I am also small-dog friendly, but don't like cats! I'm 13.5 years young, fit and healthy and have been neutered, chipped and vacc'd.

As you can see I am a handsome fellow! I love my walks, and am usually happy to continue when the greyhounds have had enough! I'd love to be a companion dog for an older person or couple, and also like having doggie company too.

See you soon, I hope.

Just stop right there madam!
After 9, 3 is a nicer number.

Although once you have 3, do you really notice a 4th creeping in?

Oh he is lovely though!

NO!!!!! NO NO NO NO NO! Tracy dont you dare tempt me, you wicked woman!

Simba is a beauty. He wont be waiting long.

Oh dear! Simba is looking over my shoulder, and is in floods of tears! (I think - I can't actually see under those eye brows..............)
Really, you wouldn't know he was there! He even talks to you! He says good morning to me every day, and "where the bloomin' 'eck have you been?" when I come back from the shops. He's smarter than my two greyhounds put together, although that's not saying much......... lol!

He really is a great character and does NOT act his age! Let me see if I can find another pic to make you fall in love with him even more.....

Stacy & Simba- matching pair Ali- you know you want to. He doesnt need neutering, vax or chip. Already friendly- save you buying another rug- with these two laid out- you wont need one -lol

Me wicked- you joking

Hi Mary,
Thanks for thinking of Simba. We are in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. I think Preston might be a little too far for a meet and greet. I have a sister in Coventry which is almost midway if you think it might be worth arranging a get-together?

Hi everyone. Just a quick note to say thank you all for your interest and support. The gorgeous Simba will be adopted tomorrow by a lovely family in Southampton area. He will have a 4 yr old wolfhound to keep in check, and will be walking in the New Forest every day. He is a very lucky boy, and I am privileged to have shared his life, albeit for just a short time.
