Oliver (Olly) Lurcher, possibly Terrier X fostered by Four Paws Animal Rescue (South Wales)
Olly's thread can be seen here http://forum.fourpawsanimalrescue.org.uk/index.php?topic=5058.0
Breed: Lurcher x (terrier???)
Age: 12 weeks
Child friendly: Yes
Dog friendly: yes very
Cat Friendly: TBC
House trained: No - but nearly there
His fosterer said - Oliver is a very adorable and playful puppy who already knows how to sit and give his paw (for a treat and sometimes at the same time...lol), he has had very few accidents in the house but is not fully house trained yet but I really dont think this will take long. He adores the other dogs we have here and shares his toys and chews with no problems at all. He slept in a crate in our room overnight and after a shaky start he settled down well, he woke us at 2am to go to the toilet and then slept all night, his crate was clean and dry this morning. Oliver is very stunning, he has a striking mottled colouring all over his body and the most adorable ears. He is a very leggy 12 week old puppy and sometimes doesnt know how to control his legs so becomes very clumsy. As Oliver is such a young pup, he cannot be left for longer than 2 hours a day. It is a condition of adoption that he is neutered at six months old.
He can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, subject to a satisfactory home visit, but note that you will be required to travel to the foster home to meet him.

Sadly Olly has had to come back into rescue as it's been discovered that his owners daughter is allergic to dogs

Oliver is a stunning young lad who came into foster with me yesterday. He had been re-homed by Four Paws 4 weeks ago but unfortunately 2 members of his new family developed serious allergies to him and had no option but to return him to us - they were devastated
Heres what the family had to say about Oliver:
Oliver is a great puppy. We collected him from his foster home when he was twenty weeks old. That was nearly four weeks ago and in that time we all have become very fond of him. He is mostly calm, although he loves puppy play and a good old gallop in the field. He is amazingly tolerant of our 3 year old girl who smothers him in love at every opportunity. He is doing very well with his training. He can sit, lie, paw, stay and come. He is fully house trained and goes happily to his crate when asked. He sleeps in his crate all night long with only occasional need for a wee at 3am. He rarely barks and only when having fun. He loves meeting other dogs and people when out for walks. Every dog walker he meets comments on what a beautiful boy he is! He is still a bit frightened of car journeys. He tolerates short ones very well now but tends to vomit with anything over an hour in duration but with work i think that will change. We are all very sad that he has to leave. Of all possible problems that we could have encountered the only one that arose was something we can do nothing about: allergies. Two of us have developed a fairly severe skin allergy which is not settling with treatments from the doctor.
We will miss him very much and hope that he finds a happy new home soon.

A word from his foster mum - Oliver has settled in really well - he gets on great with the other dogs - was a little nervous of the cat at first - but has now been face to face with his tail wagging - same with the rabbits - was a little unsure what they were to start with - but soon made friends. He only occassionally wakes up in the night for a wee - mainly he will sleep right through and is clean.
