Tiger-Lily, American Bulldog x with WHAD West Kent
Contact/organisation details: We Help Any Dog
Does the animal have rescue back up?: YES
Location: EAST KENT
Number of groups:Single dog
Type/Breed/Variety: AMERICAN BULLDOG X
Sex: Neutered female
Age(s): one year
Name(s): Tiger-Lily
Colours: Tiger Brindle and white
Neutered: YES (at WHAD) fully recovered
Reason for rehoming: Previous owner unable to cope with 2 dogs.
Temperament: Delightful! Very good with other dogs; the resident cat has taught her cats are not to be messed with! Loves cuddles. Rather bouncy as a young pup, therefore will not rehome with young children.
Medical problems: Was found to have "interesting" reproductive organs when spayed, but this will cause her no problems now that they are removed.
Neutering: Animal will be neutered/castrated prior to being rehomed unless for medical reasons. Can this be guaranteed? YES has been spayed whilst at WHAD
Transport available: No, all members of the family, including resident dogs must come to meet the dog.
Other: Will not be rehomed with young children. 10+ please.
She is currently being fed a mix of kibble and raw food. Fed twice daily.
Lily has been in foster with me since mid November. Initially she was a rather unruly, untrained, bouncy pup. Her training is coming on well, and she can sit and down, shake a paw, walks to heal most of the time. She is being clicker trained.
She gets on exceptionally well with all the resident dogs and fosters which appear from time to time. When she sees dogs in the park she does pull in an attempt to go and play. Her recall is coming on nicely.
She is crate trained, and is quiet at night. She can be left for a MAXIMUM of 6 hours during the day. She needs at least 2 walks daily as she has plenty of energy.
Lily is a sweet sweet girl, who will need ongoing training and consistent fair rules. She appears to be attracted to men (despite the fact that it is Mum who always feeds her!) She would ideally be rehomed with a friendly male dog, as she loves being with other dogs, playing tug with dogs, and chasing dogs around the park.
