Spike
Meet the lovely Spike
Spike has a sad story and now finds himself in kennels. He has a lovely temperament, very gentle and calm. He walks beautifully on the lead and knows sit, paw, come, stay etc and travels well in the car. He is very affection and loves to sit on your lap and give very gentle kisses. We will assess him with other dogs but so far he has not shown an interest. We do not know how he is in the home although he is clean in his kennel. He is aged approx 6 - 7 years.
If you feel you can offer Spike a loving home, please contact us on 07870538944 or 07880741428.

Re: Spike
Fingers crossed for Spike. Despite the very bad weather he went on trial today at his new home for two weeks!
Re: Spike
Not good news re Spike. He has been 100% in his new home that he shares with a 12 year old staffie bitch. He walks perfectly, obeys every command, slept from 11 - 8am without a sound and didnt move from his bed. He has met horses and just walks through their legs, perfect recall, perfect in the house, very obedient etc etc but........... both dogs had a biscuit at different ends of the room. The female dropped a few crumbs and Spike went over to clean up. They're not sure who instigated it but world war three broke out, really vicious. They are worried about the female as she is still recovering from a major op so...........Spike will be coming back to us on Sunday, weather permitting.
We're desperate to find a foster carer as he didnt do well in the kennels.

Re: Spike
oh poor boy - surely to god that simple misunderstanding on day 2 of his stay is something that can be worked through? Poor poor boy.
Re: Spike
He is such a lovely lovely dog (as they all are I know)! Am really desperate to avoid him going back to kennels. I offered to help with desensitisation etc etc but they are too worried about their 12 year old. He is that good I'd foster him but already have three here and really dont have the room.
Re: Spike
Aw poor old Spike my Siddy can be a bit like that with food if another dog comes around and it is scary to see. Fingerscrossed for this gorgeous boy!

Re: Spike
oh good. He does deserve a forever home, but a loving foster home is the very next best thing.
