Foxy- 5 yr old GSD Girl

Foxy is a black and tan semi-long coated 5 year old girl. We are unsure if she is neutered or not but a contract will need to be signed to state this will be carried out as soon as is appropriate. She came into our foster home and wasn’t allowed in the house till miss Smelly Nelly was properly cleaned. Underneath all the grime and stink was a Foxy lady hiding. My photos don’t do her any justice but she has the face of the fox used in a bingo advert, hence the name. She has a beatiful ginger (tan) streak all over her back.
Foxy came with an original collar consisting of a heavy chain which humanely was covered with an inner tube. The chain was very heavy and must have been pretty tight around her neck. Although Foxy is very affectionate she doesn’t come across as having had much of anything through her life.

Two weeks later she doesn’t stink any more and she is very laid back and relaxed. The boys bought Foxy and our own GSD a squeeky toy from the carboot sale and she plays with it (read destroy) and won’t leave it alone as if it’s the best thing since sausages. Me and the boys went to town one day and as we had cage trained Foxy we gave her a bone for company, and her other toys of course. When we came back she was still munching on the bone and because the cage opened she went to hide her bone for safekeeping. A little something I hadn’t seen a dog do for a long time being so happy and content with the smallest treats or just a stroke or a cuddle.

Foxy loves people and other dogs in all their fantastic different sizes. We think Foxy was a yard dog and hadn’t seen many other dogs in her life. She is very lady like in her approach of animal and human, so far there has been nothing that brought out any negative reaction.
