Blue ~ 2yo Stunning Lurcher Needing TLC

BLUE

Blue is a 2 year old lurcher girl, most likely a greyhound x collie. She is an absolutely stunning dog with piercing blue eyes and a merle type coat.

Blue has had a rought start to life, and was one of 30 dogs seized as a result of a puppy farm raid. She has recently had a litter of pups despite her young age and although its not very obvious in the photographs, she is extremely underweight at the moment. She is getting regular meals now and has been treated for a heavy parasite burden, so it shouldn't be too long before she's fully recovered.



Blue is a real character and keeps her fosterers well entertained with her antics! She is a very friendly, happy girl with a tail that never stops wagging. It seems she is making up for the first few unpleasent years of her life, and definitely knows how to ask people for cuddles! She loves to roach in her bed with all four legs in the air.

Unfortunately due to her being not cat friendly and her fosterers having cats, Blue is currently kept in a kennel set up in the back garden when not under direct supervision. She is allowed in the house when the cats are safely locked away and so far has behaved very well, so we feel housetraining shouldn't be too much of a problem. She is a bit of a 'foodie' though, so will have to be watched and corrected if she tries to counter surf. Her high desire for food is likely to decrease once she is at her ideal weight and realises her meals will come regularily.

This gorgeous girl is sure to brighten up the lives of whomever decides to welcome her into their home. She gets on fabuously with the fosterer's children, aged between 11 and 15 years old, and has also been very good with all the other dogs she has met so far.



Blue is currently in Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. She will be neutered as soon as she puts on a bit more weight. She has been vaccinated and microchipped and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure. This special girlie will make a fantastic addition to just about any household.

Kerry Greyhound Connection is a small voluntary organisation based in County Kerry, Ireland and Norfolk, England and operates through a network of volunteers. We can look after approximately 40 greyhounds at any one time, in Ireland and the UK.

Each dog is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and given a full veterinary check before being adopted.
We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA.
