Lonely older male collie - COOPER - Brighton RSPCA
(Please crosspost as this older boy needs to be out of kennels and in a warm home)
Cooper the collie, who's approximately 10 years old, is looking for love again at Brighton RSPCA after finding himself abandoned in a dog pound in another part of the country.
Cooper is a sweet, friendly chap who really tugged at the heart strings of the volunteers who transported him to Sussex. He so enjoys attention and a fuss being made of him. He wants to please and does sit, down and gives paw and comes to his name and will play with his toys with you.
Cooper seems to prefers the lady dogs to the male dogs at the moment (and who can blame him in a kennel environment.) He's looking for owners with experience of active, mature dogs. As he's an older collie, an adult home without children would be best please. No cats as he's likely to chase them. Just plenty of love.
This charming but lonesome collie chap is ready to be adopted. Cooper is neutered, deflead and microchipped and as long as any potential adopter is willing to meet him at the centre, he can be rehomed outside of East Sussex subject to a successful homecheck.
If you'd like to know more about Cooper, please call Brighton RSPCA on Tel: 01273 554218 or email them at info@rspca-brighton.co.uk (although emails are not looked at every day). The rehoming centre is open every day except Mondays, from 10.30am - 4.00pm. Alternatively you can PM me on RAFA or text me on the number below.

Serena, have they submitted his details to Oldies Club so he's advertised on their website?

No they haven't Julie, but I'll do that today. Thanks
Thanks for your comments Spooks and Wolfie.
Wolfie, if you know anywhere appropriate to put Cooper's poster up in your area near Lewes, I'd appreciate it as the manageress of Brighton RSPCA has asked me to pull out all the stops in spreading the word about Cooper needing a home?

Oh dear, I hope Quinn gets on OK at the vets, Raymond and that they can help. Bless him. It sounds as if you have enough on your plate with poor Quinn. Thanks for all your crossposting for Cooper and please don't worry about anything else, just concerntrate on your boy. xx

Get as many posters out in the sussex area ... you could ask other rescues to help publicise him as well ... could try Elaine at Arundawn as she's seen this lad. Oldies club website is the best idea as they get a really good response for dogs posted on their site.
Good luck with your lad at the vets Ray

Many thanks Mayflower,Braddles and Mole.At least we now know what has been bothering Quinn,he has a hip displasure (hope i spelt it ok).had lots of xrays ,and thats what Karen our vet at petdoctors has found.looks like he will be on painkillers for the rest of his days .he also has arthritus and rheumatism there, anyway glad that we were able to hopefully sort him out ,he only 3 1/2 years ,but he did not have a very good start to his life, and has suffered for it.he was a rescue from ireland ,and we got him from ,at that point he was only 20kgs.
