Tyra ~ Special Little Dote - 2yo Black Lurcher
TYRA
Tyra is a little lurcher girl who is approximately 2 years old. She is most likely a greyhound x whippet and was rescued after being found straying in Co. Wexford, Ireland. She is a dainty, very pretty girl with a shiny black coat and is no more than 24” to the shoulder.
Tyra is a real sweetie-pie, and once you meet her it is very hard not to fall in love. She is initially a bit shy of strangers, but after about 15 mins and perhaps some tasty treats she soon comes up and gently says hello. She is a real pet and a complete Mommy’s girl, now relishing her home comforts after living as a stray for the last while.
Tyra has settled very well in to the home environment, and is perfectly behaved in the house. She adores her cuddles, loves playing and is very responsive to training. She is also quite the character, and likes to take all the toys in the house and hide them under her own bed for ‘safekeeping’! This girl has a potential to shine in dog agility as she is very clever, speedy little rocket.
Tyra has fabulous dog skills and loves being in their company. She never caused any trouble when living with the other dogs in her foster home, and if grumbled at will simply walk away. Sadly Tyra was recently homed but it has not worked out due to one of the resident dogs not accepting her into their home. Tyra, however, was the perfect house guest, and had no problems with the 3 other dogs in the home. Even when the one dog was acting aggressively towards her she remained very polite and just turned away. This girl is truly a lover, not a fighter!
Out and about, Tyra remains the model hound. She walks beautifully on the lead and loves greeting everybody and everything. She can be selectively deaf when offlead, but never strays far from you and keeps track of where you are. With a bit more work on recall using some very tasty treats, it won’t be long before she’s zooming back to your side.
Tyra is house trained, car trained, quiet through the night, non-destructive, walks beautifully on the lead and is just an absolute dote. She is sure to make someone really happy and has oodles of potential as a family pet.
Tyra is currently in foster care in Bedlington, Northumberland. She can be homed anywhere in the UK, but please note that some travelling may be required. She is neutered, vaccinated, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.
If you are interested in adopting Tyra, please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application form and information pack. Thanks!
