another Cute Puppy alert - Harvey Collie/Terrier X (poss) fostered by Four Paws Animal Rescue (South Wales)
Harvey is an Irish Collie (possibly) Terrier X born 6/1/11. He has just come into foster along with his siblings so a page will be opened for them soon. He can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, subject to a satisfactory home visit, but note that you will be required to travel to the foster home to meet him. Please put in an application in the first instance if you are interested. Approved applications will be home checked. Details of our adoption procedures and adoption application form are here
It is a condition of adoption that FPAR animals are neutered at 6 months.

Harvey is quite a character, apart from being utterly gorgeous and as fluffy as a rug he is a sweet and bouncy puppy. Harvey only came to me today but I have already learned that he loves to play with other dogs, he loves to play with his toys, he loves his food and he especially loves water and will make every attempt to swim in his water bowl at every given opportunity. He is so much fun you just cant help but giggle at his antics. He has a full collie body but with sweet stumpy legs that makes him a natural comedian. He does sleep a lot because he is a young puppy and he particularly likes to sleep in your arms and give you soft little licks as though he is saying thank you for the hugs. He will need plenty of exercise as he grows up and lots of stimulation as he is a Collie which well known to be the cleverest breed of dog.
I really cant say enough about what a joy this little boy is with his little pink nose and pretty brown eyes, his future family are going to be so lucky.

More about Harvey.....
Harvey likes to eat his meals while laying on his tummy with his bowl between his little paws. He has learned that putting his lead on means lovely walkies to the stream not nasty ones to the mean vet with the vaccination needles. Today he found a deep spot at the stream and instead of running through the water he learned to swim, once he discovered this new skill he didn't want to get out of the he was so happy. Harvey is so pleased to meet new people he will lay on his back so his tummy can be rubbed knowing full well he is so cute that they will oblige him. Although Harvey is a Collie, what ever little dog he is crossed with (my best guess is a Corgi!) slows him down quite a bit so I dont think he will need quite as much exercise as I initially thought (my cocker spaniel puppy is a few weeks older than him and runs rings around him but he does his very best to keep up). Harvey likes to hide in long grass and try to round up my dog as though he is herding sheep which is always funny. Harvey can be a little timid and often does need a little extra cuddle and reassurance but however much love you give him he always gives twice as much in return. There is so much to learn about Harvey, every day is an adventure with him. He deserves so much love his forever family are going to be so lucky.
