Seamus is a 10 year old Cocker Spaniel who is in an Oldies Club foster home near Charlbury, Oxfordshire, waiting for someone to offer him a permanent home.

Settled quickly: Seamus settled at his foster home almost immediately. He has been left for up to 5 hours with no problem.

Good with dogs, cats and children: Seamus has been fine with the dogs he has met but his previous owner told us that he wouldn’t want to live with boisterous dogs. There are 2 cats in his foster home and he just ignores them. Seamus is used to living with young children; he ignores them completely but lets them pat him.

Likes short walks; recall not great: Seamus enjoys relatively short walks. He needs to be walked on lead most of the time as his recall isn’t great and it seems that he can’t always tell where your voice is coming from. He does come back eventually though.

Excellent in the car: Seamus behaves perfectly in the car.

Seamus enjoys…: Cuddles with you on the sofa; eating; laying in the sun; being with people.

Seamus’ perfect home: He would like a home with a garden, where someone is at home for a good portion of the day. He is fine to be left for a few hours, but he wouldn’t be happy to be left for a long time every day as he loves to be with you.

Health notes: Seamus is neutered and vaccinated. He may be prone to ear infections so his ears will benefit from regular cleaning.

Foster carer’s summary: Seamus is gentle; loving; intelligent; a delight in the home.

If you can offer Seamus a permanent home, please refer to our Adoption Procedures for information about the adoption process. You can then contact an Oldies Club rehoming co-ordinator as follows:

Email: rehome@oldies.org.uk
Telephone: 0844 586 8656

Seamus can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, subject to a satisfactory home visit, but note that you will be required to travel to the foster home to meet him.
