Punt - 6 month old lurcher mix - GORGEOUS young boy :)
Name: Punt
Age: 6 months
Breed: Collie X Lurcher
Can I live with Children: yes
Can I live with cats: TBC
Can I live with other dogs:yes
Fostered In: South Wales
Other Information:
Punt has been with us since February, he came to us at 10 wks old after being saved from being put to sleep because of his wonky legs.
He had some x-rays done and it was decided to wait and see how his legs were after he had grown a bit.
Well after spending some time down in Cornwall on foster with Linda, he has now come back to Wales with his legs looking much better, now that he has grown.
Punt visited the vet last week and his legs are so much straighter now that they see no need to do any operations - to operate could cause more him to have problems, just for the sake of his legs being perfectly straight
His legs don't bother him at all, but he may suffer with some arthritis in his front legs in later life.
He is a lovely and very playful young boy who is looking for an active home where he also has some doggy pals to play with.
If you're interested in adopting Punt, please read our adoption guidelines and procedure;

Well this boy is becoming quite a star on the show circuit this year coming 5th in the Rescue Class at the Dogs Trust show in Margam Park beginning of July and Punt won 4th place in the pups class at RSPCA Fun Dog Show at Lyls Nini, Swansea.
We did the No Voice, No choice show yesterday and this gentle giant won 3rd place in the most handsome dog, judged and presented by Dr Roger Mugford from Company of Animals.
Roger later came over to me to say he couldn't understand why this lad has been overlooked for so long. Neither can I???
Please speak to your friends, family and contacts and let's see if we can get this boy in a home soon.

It gives me enormous pleasure to see Punt looking so fit and well....and winning prizes! He was the first FOA RCT dog that I "named" (along with the little Bichon who is Dennis). They have a scheme whereby for £5 donation you can name a dog that comes into the rescue without a name. I'd just been listening to Punt and Dennis on the Radio 4 Now Show, so thought their names would be good.
Do you think if I contact Steve Punt he'd be tickled enough to offer his namesake a lovely new home?
