Max an 18 month old Collie X fostered by Four Paws Animal Rescue Piper
Max's thread can be found here http://forum.fourpawsanimalrescue.org.uk/index.php?topic=5182.0

Name: Max (Was previously known as Piper)
Breed: Crossbreed - Medium sized - 19kg
Age: approx 18 months
Child Friendly: Can be quite bouncy but cannot test this
Dog Friendly: Yes very - great with dominant, shy, active, quiet dogs - basically fab with all!
Cat Friendly: Yes, great with horses and sheep too. Has been taken to work at a yard by a previous owner
Housetrained: Yes
Recall: Really good. Is off lead on all his walks
Car: Travels well
Fostered: Basingstoke

History: Max came from the pound so we have no history before then. Some long term Fourpaws followers will recognise Max. This poor man has been passed around so much he really wants a PERMENENT forever home. I know life gets in the way of plans and Max has done absolutely nothing wrong. He was homed by us last year and a few days later the new owner took an opportunity to move to New Zealand so Max came back. He was then homed again a couple of weeks later to a lovely couple and has been with them 6 months. He is now back with Fourpaws due to the breakdown of the marriage. Neither party want to give him up but neither party have the time one thier own to dedicate to a dog. Its a very sad story for poor Max who is very confused.

Ideal home: Max fits in with any situation. He is so adaptable. He could live as an only dog or with a companion dog - playful or quieter. He loves to play with his toys but will sit quietly if you want a quick drink at the pub. He is fine when left home alone and sleeps quietly all night. Piper wants some stability as he has been through alot of changes. He would love an agility/flyball home or one where someone has the time to play with him. He really is the kind of dog you can take anywhere and do anything with. I have taken him to agility competitions with my own dogs and he was great. I also took him on a beach holiday last year with my own 2 dogs and he behaved better than my own dogs.

Personality: Max wants to please. He will give you endless loyalty and obedience and he loves to give you cuddles
Vets: Max has been to the vets for vaccs, chip, snip and he is deflead and wormed.
He can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, subject to a satisfactory home visit, but note that you will be required to travel to the foster home to meet him.

Please put in an application in the first instance if you are interested. Approved applications will be home checked.
