Little brown bear cub -Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross - Dino 1 year old
Contact/organisation details: SSBTR Scottish Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue
Does the animal have rescue back up?: Yes
Location: South Lanarkshire
Number of animals: one
Type/Breed/Variety: Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross
Sex: Male
Age(s): 1 year
Name(s): Dino
Colours: Brown
Neutered: not yet but will be undertaken by the rescue
Reason for rehoming: found as a stray by dog warden, his 7 days were up but is now safe with us, but unfortunately he is kennelled
Temperament: Bouncy at times but a very affectionate young dog
Medical problems: none known
Neutering: Animal will be neutered/castrated prior to being rehomed unless for medical reasons. Can this be guaranteed? yes
Transport available: yes
Other: Dino travelled well in my car with another dog for almost 2 hours so we feel he is good in a car and seems ok with other dogs. He is kennelled next to a very mouthy rotweiller but Dino takes no notice. He walks pretty well on lead and knows Sit. He will need basic training but this will not be a problem as he is VERY food orientated. He also gives excellent eye contact.
Desperately seeking a home or even a foster home.
If you can help please contact us on 07880 741 428

Re: Little brown bear cub -Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross - Dino 1 year old
Went to see the lovely Dino again today. What a difference. He has settled well into the kennels and is not at all exciteable or bouncy. Took him for a walk passed loads of cows and sheep. He had a look but carried on walking and didnt make a sound. He didnt pull on lead at all and kept an eye where I was to stay close. Absolutely brilliant. Found out he also knows how to give a paw as well as sit.
Sat in the back of my car (warmest place) for some cuddles and was rewarded with sloopy kisses, rolling on his back for a tummy rub and neck scratches. He loves attention and affection but isnt over excited or over demanding. He really is a good natured dog and we feel he would settle very quickly into a new home.
Still kenneled next door to the rotweiller who was going off his head again today. Dino totally ignored him!

Taking Dino to a potential foster tomorrow. There are two other dogs in the household but Dino is great with other dogs so fingers crossed. Walk first, then play in garden and if all goes well, into the house!

It went really well today - fosters own dogs are lovely as is his foster. Intros went brilliant, Dino is very dog friendly and will have a fantastic time there.
Still looking for a permanent home

Dino and his new friend!
All tired out.
Dino is brilliant with other dogs of either sex.

Dino getting a lesson in how to chew a slipper!!! His foster thought things were a bit quiet and went to investigate. She found her own dog plus Dino (first time) on her bed and her own dog chewing her slipper!!
Hilarious. Dino is such a character. Heres him hiding afterwards! He made no attempt to chew the slipper!
