Re: Seems to be a problem with pm's and thread updates
I have checked your profile and it is set to receive email alerts
People who are not receiving pms.........Please make sure you are checking your messages every day. You will only receive ONE email stating you have a pm even if you have 10 messages.
Please can members also make sure you are sending messages correctly, the messages will remain in your outbox until they have been read..........
Anyone who is having any difficulties please do alert a member of staff,

I'm not receiving any notification of pm's or anything.

Alicia, i've checked your profile and your settings are correct to receive both messages and emails
It might be worth you changing your email address if you can use another one?
If so, pm it to either myself or Sal and we can change this for you. It may rectify the problem.

I do think this problem is intermittant with random members ... as it's happened to me in the past and still does now ... but only occasionally.
I'm sure it's a forumotion problem personally as it comes and goes and wouldn't do if it was an email addy thing. I've never changed my email and the problem rectifies itself without my doing anything.

it is frustrating when we can't do much to help. All we can do is log in regularly and check the pm box

Re: Seems to be a problem with pm's and thread updates
I know this isn't Admin's fault but I do seriously think that pm's are not always getting through to some members which could effect transport runs.
Not everybody can log on every day (which is what you need to do with urgent stuff) and the pm system means that you don't have to.
IMO it's near enough one of the most important services forumotion should make sure works correctly.
I know I know nobody can do anything about it ... but I need to vent
