Kewell ~ 15mth Lively Greyhound Girl, Possibly Cat Friendly

KEWELL

Kewell is a 15 month old greyhound girl. She is a very pretty girl, with a soft brindle coat, amber eyes and a slender build.

Kewell is very lively for a greyhound and needs a bit of lead training as she can pull. She gets on fine with the other greyhounds in the kennels and loves when people come to visit her. Kewell would make a perfect playmate for another dog and would fit nicely in to an active family. We think that once she discovers what toys are all about shes very likely to become addicted!

Kewell has never raced so has the potential to be ok living with cats. This will be thoroughly tested before she can go to a home with cats, but anyone with cats who is interested in her are free to enquire further. She will likely go to a foster home once one with cats becomes available to make sure she is comfortable living with kitties as well as getting her used to living in a home for the first time.

This happy girl is currently in kennels in Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. She is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

~~ KERRY GREYHOUND CONNECTION ~~

Kerry Greyhound Connection is a small voluntary organisation based in County Kerry, Ireland and Norfolk, England and operates through a network of volunteers. We can look after approximately 50 greyhounds at any one time, in both Ireland and the UK.

Each dog is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and given a full veterinary check before being adopted.
We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA. We work hard to match the right hound to the right home, and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

We can be contacted via PM or through any of the following:

**UPDATE 07/2010**

Kewell has now moved to a foster home in Norfolk, UK that she is sharing with a cat to see if she is truly suitable to live in a home with felines. This is the first time this gorgeous girl has never been in a home, so she is also learning the basic do’s and don’t’s of living in a house. Her housetraining is coming along nicely. We will update with her progress shortly.

In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family with children, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the elderly. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.

This happy girl is currently in a foster home in Norfolk, UK. She is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea’d and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you are interested in adopting Kewell, please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application form and information pack. We don’t think you will regret it!
