OLLY

Olly is lovely black and white 2 year old greyhound boy. He was due to be put to sleep as he showed no interest in the racing game before he was luckily rescued by KGC.

In kennels Olly is a timid boy and desperately needs some individual attention. He has known only the racing kennels he came from, and is finding the change in environment very stressful. He has very low confidence at the minute and would blossom beautifully if he could get into a loving home where he could be shown that not every new situation has to be scary. He is shy of new people at the moment, but once he gets to know you he soaks up any attention you give him.

Olly has shown no interest in the resident cats, and should be fine to live with small dogs too. A home with another, confident dog present would be ideal for Olly as he could learn how to react to new situations from watching them. Sweet Olly will be more than content with a soft bed and some TLC, and he will soon come out of his shell with a bit of patience and understanding. He would make a very rewarding companion.

Olly is currently in kennels in Ireland, and can be transported to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This would be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and a home check will be required as part of the adoption procedure.






**UPDATE 02/2010**

Olly is now in a foster home with cats in Norfolk, UK. Here he is getting accustomed to living in a home environment for the first time and is starting to learn the do's and dont's of house life.

Kerry Greyhound Connection is a small voluntary organisation based in County Kerry, Ireland and Norfolk, England and operates through a network of volunteers. We can look after approximately 40 greyhounds at any one time, in Ireland and the UK.

Each dog is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and given a full veterinary check before being adopted.
We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA.
