Benson is a brindle and white male Staffordshire bull terrier. He came to us as a result of his owners change of circumstance.

Benson is approximately 16 weeks old and is a typical cheeky puppy. He is currently being fostered in Medway with three other dogs of various sizes and two children. His foster mum says:

'Benson has been with us for a few weeks now and settled perfectly into our home. He lives with three dogs ranging from labrador to staffie and loves to play with them all, but his real affection lies with our own young staffie whom he idolises. He plays with her for hours, which we try to encourage in the garden as they can be quite boisterous, but equally he loves to chill out on the sofa, usually lying on top of one of our dogs and snoring his head off!

Benson is now almost fully housetrained, just the odd accident, nothing major. He is clean in his crate when left and overnight and is happy to be left for a few hours each day.

He currently lives with older children (11 and 14) but is a regular visitor to the school gates where he meets infant and junior school age children. He meets greets every human he meets the same ways, with lots of kisses and a waggy body - Benson is such a friendly young dog.

He knows basic commands, he will sit without being told before he has food, he knows leave and is pretty good at this when he gets hold of something he shouldn't and has really good recall off lead for his age. He is teething and likes to chew on sticks in the garden, but he has not been destructive in the house.

Due to his age, Benson will need ongoing training and socialisation and anyone considering adopting him should be prepared to do this.

Overall, Benson is an adorable, laid back puppy who has fitted into our home and lives with no problems at all. He never ceases to amaze me at just how good he is for his age.'

Benson will only be rehomed where there is a resident dog for companionship and play. He will not be rehomed as an only dog.

Benson must be neutered once old enough as part of his adoption agreement by his new owner. He has been vaccinated, wormed, de flead and microchipped.

If you would like to offer a forever home to this beautiful little boy, please fill in the pre adoption form on our website www.sedogrescue.co.uk

Beautiful Benson is now about 6 months old. He has been with his foster family for 2 months and is now fully housetrained and has great recall off lead. He lives with children, other dogs and house rabbits. He can be cat tested if necessary. We can't understand why Benson hasn't been snapped up, he is absolutely adorable and such a perfect puppy. After his morning walk he happily settles for the day, having a little play every so often, but spending lots of time chilling. Benson is fine to be left during the day and is clean when left. He is non destructive in the house. Benson can live with children of any age. If you would like more general information on Benson and up to date photos, please email his foster mum julie.hume37@yahoo.co.uk. If you would like to meet Benson, please complete our pre-adoption form http://www.sedogrescue.co.uk/pre-adoption-form/ and someone will revert to you within a couple of days.
