Evie
Please meet Evie! Evie is an approximately 2 year old Lurcher who came to us as one of the most awful cases we have seen. Evie was found in a caring persons garden with baling twine around her neck. We believe she has been tied up and left to die in the local woods, and thankfully had managed to break free and make it into their garden before collapsing. Evie was emaciated, almost bald with mange, and covered in a substance which our vet believes was in an attempt to poison her.
When Evie arrived she was moments from death. After intensive care here, with vets and specialists and over £600 later...Evie is ready to be rehomed. She has put on weight, and her fun loving and amazingly loving nature has emerged! Evie absolutely loves everyone she meets! She has a huge fan base and our dog walkers all fight to walk her! Despite being so seriously abused, she just adores people!
Evie has had blood tests which show slight liver damage, which is common in starved dogs. She now has all clear from the vets, and has 2 months of treatment left which is covered at our cost. Once this has finished, she will not need more.
Evie cannot live with cats and she mixes well with all of our dogs here, she will need a home only with a resident dog of her own size or bigger for company and to play with.
It's likely that Evie has never lived in a home, so her new home must be prepared to house train her if needed, and we have no idea how she will be to be left.
She has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Evie has the most special place in all of our hearts, and we cannot believe how much she loves humans after all she has been through. Evie needs a kind, patient home who is prepared to deal with any problems should they arise, with our support.
Evie can live with children aged 8 plus. She understandably doesn't like to share food with other dogs so will need to be fed separately from the resident dog.
If you can be the final chapter in Evie's amazing journey to recovery, please fill in the pre adoption form on our site www.sedogrescue.co.uk
