Toby - 3 year old West Highland Terrier (Fostered in Staff)
Beautiful Toby is a 3 year old West Highland Terrier who is looking for a caring home where he can get good walks and be committed to for the rest of his life.
He is a lovely boy but prefers to be given a bit of space rather than having lots of cuddles as he is currently quite timid.
His walks are being slowly increased in length as he is slightly overweight and has not been previously used to long walks - however, he is loving them in his foster home. His fosterer has named him an honorary Border Collie as he loves running with hers! He has good recall when there is cheese about!
Toby is looking for a home with at least one other dog to help show him the ropes and he'd be happy to share the home with older children that are respectful of his space.
Despite being timid he is coming out of his shell and his fosterer has said; "I can honestly say no other foster dog has made me laugh so much - this lad is a pocket size fire cracker - far too much personality for such a small package!"
Toby is good in the car and has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped.
Here's an update from his fosterer: "Toby has really come out of himself since he had a really nice walk yesterday. He has been out and met lots of dogs - all of which he liked and he is becoming more interested in having a fuss
It is fair to say that Toby might be a bit in love with my two dogs - he loves to play and Alfie and Sam are happy to oblige. He has been joining in fetch games and following Sam like a little shadow.
He is a real sweetie and beyond being a bit shy and not liking too much noise while he is sleeping there don't seem to be any problems with him at all. And judging by the interest we get in him when out and about I think folk need to get their forms in quick - he won't be in foster for long!!"
Toby is currently on foster in Stone, Staffordshire but we home across the UK.

Re: Toby - 3 year old West Highland Terrier (Fostered in Staff)
Toby is continuing to do well in his foster home. He loves the company of other dogs and loves to play. He is now playing with his fosterers a bit more and is enjoying a fuss - when he wants one!
He is a bit of a grumbler - nothing more than noise though. He is quite clear about what he likes and what he doesn't. Toby would prefer a quieter home - with another dog or two to play with, plenty of walks and a sofa in the evening. He is not going to be a lap dog and curl up on your knee but he will keep you entertained with his antics and when he does look for fuss it is so much more special to have that time with him!
Can anyone offer this wonderful boy a home?
