Maxi ~ Stunning & Happy Girl - 4yo Fawn Greyhound

Meet the fabulous Maxi. She is a 4 year old greyhound girl who only ran a few races before looking for her forever sofa. Sadly Maxi thought she had found her forever family but has now had to come back to us as she was getting uneasy around the family’s children. This dear lady is looking for a slightly quieter home to retire to.

Maxi has a stunning blue fawn coat with striking eyes. She is a very beautiful girl and quite the eye turner. She is also in stunning condition right now and is the very image of good health.

~ Personality ~
In short, Maxi is just super. She adores everyone and everything and loves to be loved. She enjoys interacting with people and is very responsive. Maxi is a real joy to be with and loves her cuddles. She is understandably a bit confused right now as to why she finds herself away from her family, she is taking the changes very well and remains a gorgeous girl.

Though unnerved by the children in her previous home, Maxi is fine and excellently behaved when meeting children out on walks, she just needs some quiet time in her own home so that she can truly relax. Someone will be in for a real treat with this girl, she is a complete gem.



~ In the Home ~
Dear Maxi was very well behaved in her previous home, and has all the basic commands and house rules downpat. She is housetrained, quiet through the night, non-destructive and is ok to be left with other dogs for company. She has never been completely alone, but living as an only dog is not out of the realms of possibility, Maxi will just need some time and training to adjust to being by herself.

Maxi also loves to play and shares her toys nicely with other people and canines. She adores her food and will listen very carefully if you have a tasty treat in your hand!



~ Other Animals ~
Maxi is excellent with all the other dogs she has met, large and small. She shared her previous home with 2 terriers, so she is used to a bit of rough and tumble. Out on walks, Maxi is very polite and mannerly when meeting other dogs. She loves making new friends. This girl would slot very well into an existing pack of dogs, and would also be a great companion for a lonely dog.



~ Out and About ~
Like most greyhounds, Maxi is a low energy dog and so will not need a huge amount of exercise. She will be content with two 30min walks a day and perhaps a chance to stretch her legs offlead in a secure area once or twice a week. If she has someone to play with, she is very happy to have some romps in the garden before flopping down for a snooze. Likewise with toys, she will have a few zooms around with a squeaky toy before wanting to stretch out and relax. Maxi loves the car too and is a brilliant traveller.



~ Out and About ~
Maxi is a really gorgeous girl with a super personality, and we hope she’s not waiting too long before finding her new family. Her ideal home would be one which enjoys going for long but relaxed walks, has another one or two canine buddies to play with, and has no young kiddies. Maxi would be fine to live with older teenagers, it’s just younger children who want to play all the time that can stress her. This girl is guaranteed to be a fantastic addition to the right household, she has so much potential and, most importantly, oodles of love to give you.



~ Where Am I? ~
Maxi is currently in kennels in Norfolk, UK. She can be homed anywhere in the UK, but please note that you will be required to travel to us in Norfolk to meet her.

~ Want To Adopt Me? ~
Maxi is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure. This girl would greatly benefit from being in a foster home, and Kerry Greyhounds UK is always in desperate need of new fosterers. It is such a rewarding experience, and costs are covered by the rescue.

~~ KERRY GREYHOUNDS UK ~~

Kerry Greyhounds UK is a small voluntary organisation that is based in Norfolk, England. It focuses on rehoming unwanted Irish greyhounds and lurchers, as huge numbers are bred in Ireland each year and homes are few and far between. KGUK operates through a network of volunteers spaced over Ireland and the UK. We can look after approximately 30 dogs at any one time in both kennels and foster homes.

Each dog is neutered, vaccinated, & microchipped before being adopted (unless stated otherwise).
We assess the suitability of all home offers, and we have homed greyhounds in all corners of the UK.
