Elvie - 5 year old Cocker Spaniel girl - Good with dogs + older children

Elvie is a gorgeous 5 year old Cocker Spaniel who has come to us as an ex-breeding girl. This means, before coming to us, she had never experience the basic pet dog necessities such as living in a home or having regular walks. For this reason, Elvie needs an understanding home that is prepared to be very patient with her. Elvie would like a home that has at least one other dog and where there is a person at home most of the day with her.

She is a truly beautiful girl inside and out and is developing wonderfully in her foster home where they are building her confidence.

Elvie loves the sun and happily will sit on the window ledge and let the sun warm her. She enjoys watching the TV and barks at herself in the mirror!

In her foster home she has learnt the joys of playing and now loves to play tug with the resident dog in her foster home and also likes to play with a ball. She really does love to be with other dogs and will bark if the resident dog in her foster home goes up without her - she must live with at least one other dog.

Elvie is happy to meet people and have a little fuss from those coming in and leaving the house. She does still jump at loud noises or sudden movements but she is learning that it is OK to relax! For this reason, Elvie can only live with older children that are respectful of her and understand that she finds loud things quite scary.

Her house training is going well and is almost 100% with only the occasional accident. She is happy to go in the garden most of the time but, if it's dark, she'll only go out if her fosterer goes too though this is improving with time.

Elvie does not like to be left alone and becomes quite destructive if given the opportunity. For this reason, she'd like to live somewhere where there is someone around most of the day.

She has now started having walks, and as you can see, she very much enjoys them and is not phased by anything whilst out and about.

Elvie is a truly sweet girl and is blossoming wonderfully with time, patience and love. She does like to chew paper so keep your books away from her and she'll be the perfect companion!!

Elvie has been spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped. She is currently on foster in South Wales but we home across the UK.
