Marley - 10 month old Border Collie cross - dog and child friendly

Marley is a handsome 10 month old Border Collie cross. He is a sweet boy who was handed in as his owner had no dog experience so found it difficult to handle a Border Collie.

Marley is a really lovely dog who is desperate for structure, training and lots of exercise. He will make a fantastic pet to the right home.

He can live with other dogs and children.

Marley has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped. He is currently on foster in Stone, Staffordshire but we home across the UK. If you're interested in adopting Marley, please read our adoption guidelines and procedure;

Here's an update from his fosterer: 48hrs on and Marley is doing well - he is an advert for why dogs need foster homes! He arrived nervous, scared and lacking in basic manners. In the last two days he has made come out of his shell and is now curled up with my other half. He has learnt to sit and wait for treats, walk nicely on his lead and has started to play!!

He is nervous - particularly of men but he comes round quickly if he is left alone to work things out. He needs patience and ongoing training but he is so willing and clever that he is a pleasure to be with.

A bit of a way to go to get his confidence to where it should be for a 10 month puppy but Marley is taking leaps - I am very very proud of this lad Can anyone offer him a home?

Here's another update from his fosterer: Marley has had a great day today - he had a nice walk today with a pair of Newfies and a terrier. He was nervous to begin with but was soon trying to play. He loves being out and is happy with dogs he meets as long as he feels he can run away if he needs to

He met my dad yesterday and wasn't very nervous at all and it was only a few seconds before he was looking for fuss. He also now sits in the kitchen and waits to be fed without charging up to the other dogs. He is still a little possessive with chews and toys but we are working on that.

He is a very high energy dog - even managing to wear my collies out! He loves to play and would do well with another dog he can have fun with.

Everything is still new to him but his natural puppy curiosity is coming through and overtaking the nerves - it won't be long at all before this boy forgets he was ever scared!!
