Madge has now been in her foster home for a week and is doing great.
She gets along very well with the resident dog an older male staffy and has proved herself to be housetrained, quick to pick up the house rules .i.e she only gets onto furniture if allowed, crate trained and after a morning play happy to snoozle the day away....oh and of course very loving ..you can't give Madgie Moo enough cuddles!

Here is the girl enjoying some home comforts

This is a little dog that was initially classed as being "not good with other dogs" ... no intention of digging at anybody (Tracy/Spike) as I know it's so difficult to assess properly in a stressful kennel environment Group hug1 ........

but this just goes to show that a dog's true behaviour does not come out until they get away from kennels

Obviously she's in the perfect foster home with a dog who respects her space ...

which also just shows what invaluable work foster homes can do with long term kennelled dogs who have had no interest.

Well done everybody concerned goldstar1

As you say Kathy it is so difficult to assess - but I think we can now safely say she could live with another calm male dog rofl1

Here she is in her lovely new winter coat sent by one of her sponsors

She is a beautiful little dog & if she can cope with a bouncy Rupert she can cope with anything. Dont know why she hasnt found some where yet -well permanant home she is a delightful dinky kissy little staffy.

Kate- l hope everything whats planned works out for Madge, & if you saw Rupert- you'd cry hes 18kgs - not 2kgs & would still pinch Madges treat :0

I didn't post straight away as I wanted to make sure that Madges lovely, lovely sponsors were the first to hear the news (and now I know they have) so....

... as some of you know Madge has been in foster with me since September, she is a lovely little girl and has been no trouble at all. We had already started to look around for a friend for our own dog Buster, but were not sure how they would get on together in the house, but they have become the best of buddies, in fact if dogs can fall in love then Buster and Madge have They have to sit together, they actually 'hold' each others paws, they share their toys, and Madge insists on cleaning Busters ears, neck and chest at least twice a day!........

...so as you have probably already guessed Madge has found her forever home ....with us

I can't tell you how delighted I am to hear this news. I've been following her progress for quite a long time now and kept hoping something special would turn up for her.....and it did!

Well done, Spike, and all who have been involved with this little lady. What a super start to the New Year for Madge and for all her many fans. yahoo1 dancy2 Chicken Dance 1
